Teething Games

I've heard old wives tales of dapping a little cognac to reduce pain. I 've heard previous commonalities such as Oragel may cause cancer. As my son's two bottom teeth started to appear and my once sweet boy started developing fits, I took my rants to good 'ole Facebook to hear how mother's cope with teething.

Teething Products

As a new mom I took all advice. The following are some suggested items to get your baby through this rough patch.
  • Amber Necklaces- I purchased this item via Amazon but Tre was never a fan. I also read a tragic story of an unsupervised little boy being choked to death while playing with this item
  • Sophie La Girafe- My son adored this item and it kept him quite happy. The material used was soothing and I think he liked the shape.

  • Banana Toothbrush- I was told to use this item with a little dap of Oragel. I opted to use this without. The colors made it an attractive distraction and my little guy couldn't keep it out of his mouth.
  • Munchkin Fresh Food Feeder- Love this but it is so messy! I placed frozen fruits and sealed. Do to melting and chewing fruit and slobber everywhere (lol). It did the job though.
  • Breastmilk Popsicles- What a great idea but once again messy. My baby boy is greedy and I can hardly pump to keep up with his demand. If you're in abundance try out this little trick!
  • Frozen Teething Rings- My son was not a fan of this method. I know every child is different but my child hated this and seemed to scream louder when he placed the ring in his mouth..
  • Sterilized Frozen Wet Rag- This is probably the simplest way to relieve teething.
  • Frozen Chicken Bones- I wasn't willing to try this. I was afraid a pice of bone would somehow manage to choke my child. It was recommended as a solution to teething. If you've tried this, we'd love to hear how it worked out.
  • Hylands Teething Tablets- I purchased these tablets but haven't had to use them.
